Life Groups

Life Groups play an essential role in the care and development of a Christ-follower. It’s the environment where sustained life change occurs. Practically speaking, there will never be a way for the staff or elders to personally minister to everyone who attends our church. That’s why we place such a high premium on group life. It’s how we minister effectively at The Chapel.

What is a Life Group?

A group of people who commit to meet weekly for 18-24months to grow in their relationship with Jesus and each other.

Where do we meet?

Life Groups meet in various homes around the area.  The reason we have our groups in homes is we want them to be a place to help move our faith outside the walls of the church into everyday life.  Sometimes it becomes easy to compartmentalize our faith, i.e. God is at church, and we want to help each other connect our relationship with Jesus more in our everyday lives.

What does a Life Group do?

You talk about questions from Sunday’s message, what’s going on in each person’s life, what needs are in the community and you pray for each other. Each Life Group also plans at least two community service projects a year, one for the church and one for the community it meets in.

Why should I belong to a Life Group?

No one has it together all on their own. Sometimes we have questions or struggles or celebrations or victories. Maybe Sunday’s message has you really thinking. This is a place to share, grow and learn.

How can I be involved?

You can lead a group, host a group or just attend agroup.

If I would like to lead a group, how do I do it?

You will receive training and ongoing support andideas, including in-depth study questions from Sunday’s sermon. If the church is going through a special series, you would receive DVDs orother materials to guide your group.

If I would like to host a group, do I have to lead it?

No, we can match you up with aleader who may not want to host in their home.
